So you should surely bring him. Or her. Or them. And if you can’t bring your dog, come anyway, we need escorts for the dogs.
We’ve done the parade for several years now and every year everyone who marches with us has a great time. Some bring their dogs and others don’t. Some take turns walking the dogs, others carry our banner, others toss candy to the kids, and others just walk escort between the dogs and the crowd that compresses in along the parade route in places.
And someone gets to dress as Scooby Doo.
It is really a good time and it’s quite impressive to walk your dog down the wide expanse of the Boulevard of the Allies while thousands and thousands watch and ask to pet your dog. It’s a decent walk so your dog should be in shape for a good walk and your dog should be ok with people and other dogs. We go rain or shine or snow, so if you volunteer, please commit, wear a raincoat, the people will still be there and you will still have a good time.
So if you want to join us, we do need your help. Email Jean at firstname.lastname@example.org and get ready to see a parade from a different, and much more interesting perspective.
And bring candy. And dress your dog in any way you see fit.
The parade is Saturday, March 11 at 10:00 a.m., though you do have to be there earlier to line up.
